This is the perfect solution for a tour, which can satisfy everybody’s desires.
There will be enough time for a walk in the downtown and to visit a museum or villa, but if you want, we can stop for an aperitif or a little snack.
Before your arrival we define together the details of your schedule, which will include the places you absolutely want to visit and your interests.
Something strikes your attention? We’ll stop to admire it slowly.
Do you want to change something on the schedule? If it’s possible, we’ll do it.
And if you are travelling with children? We will speak about dwarfs and princesses, climb medieval towers and go underground to discover roman ruins, see falcons flying and crafts working the ceramic.
We’ll move by foot, bike, car, or vintage car: the choice is yours!
The destinations more requested by the groups in this area are Vicenza, Marostica, Bassano del Grappa and the Palladian villas. The tours focus on Italian art and architecture, but they can be enriched with a wine, grappa or cheese tasting, with the visit to ceramic or gold craft shops, with a lunch in a Venetian villas or a medieval castle. Or something more ...
Knowing the region and the tourism infrastructures (hotels, restaurants, roads, places of interest, etc), I cooperate with Travel Agencies and Tour Operators in planning the tours and in guiding the groups around the Vicenza’s province and all the Veneto’s villas.
I’m a licensed English speaking tourist guide and also a local correspondent for foreign Tour Operators.
For me these are the most exciting tours, since I always learn a lot from architects and art professionals.
Besides the classical destinations, I will be able to recommend to you other interesting attractions. The architecture lovers can match Palladio with Carlo Scarpa and Massimiliano Fuksas’ works. People interested in art will admire Tiepolo, Veronese and Canova’s masterpieces and discover other less-known Italian artists,
the ancient ceramics of Nove, the Remondini’s prints and the statues hidden in historical gardens.
Many groups have a common interest. Knowing your interests will make it easier for me to suggest activities that can satisfy everybody’s likes: art, architecture, music, gardens, sport, faith, history, gastronomy and so on.
The amount of walking will be planned according to the potential of the group; the entrances to museums, villas and monuments will consider the available budget; the restaurant will be the best among the ones easily reachable by foot or bus and serve local food and wine.
Andrea Palladio is the “archi-star” in our province and I’m an expert in all things Palladian. You can ask me to visit his buildings in Vicenza (palazzi, Theatre, Basilica, etc…) or the villas in the countryside (some are not open to public, but I can ask the owner to open it only for you), and I’ll tell you all his job secrets and illustrate his masterpieces’ peculiarities.
Of course, I can enrich your stay in Vicenza with a walk in a medieval town as Bassano del Grappa and Marostica or with an amazing experience such as rafting on the Brenta River, the wine and grappa tasting, the demonstration of falconry and much more.
Vicenza’s province offers many opportunities to companies that are planning their meeting and incentive travels in Veneto.
Besides visiting the elegant Palladian masterpieces, the astonishing Venetian villas and the charming medieval burgs, your collaborators can have some exclusive experiences such as having dinner inside a castle or Renaissance villa, driving a vintage car along vineyards and stopping in wine-cellars, watching medieval fights, tasting grappa inside the futuristic Nardini’s Bubbles or in a traditional distillery, seeing a falconer working with his falcons.
I have many other ideas and good contacts to help you in planning every detail no matter what you have in mind.
I love reading travel books and magazines and my favourite reports are the ones which suggest unusual paths to visit the main attractions of a place. Information about charming hotel, local cuisine and craft shops are essential for me, too.
When I worked in Milan as journalist for a well-known Italian travel magazine, I took inspiration from this kind of travel journalism and now, with the same soul, I guide journalists and photographers to discover Vicenza and the other stars of its province.
